The CD Ripper allows you to extract the tracks from an audio CD onto your hard disk as WAV files. The tool uses AKRip32.DLL to perform the ripping operation.
To rip tracks from a CD:
Select the drive containing the CD you wish to rip tracks from using the Drives dropdown box.
All the tracks on the CD will be listed in the main Tracks list area. The names of the ripped files will be based on the names appearing in the Track column. These may be changed by clicking the text and changing to the required text.
Select the output directory for the output files by pressing the Browse button and selecting a folder in the Browse for Folder dialogue.
Press the Rip button.
Each track on the audio CD will be extracted into the specified location on your hard disk as a .wav file. The files will also appear in the Encoder Decoder window ready for conversion to MP3 format if so required.
Note
CD Ripper cannot differentiate between an audio CD and a data CD as a data CD is essentially a single track CD (where the single track contains all the data). So please beware of extracting data to a sound file as this will result in nonsense.
